As part of the redevelopment of Newcastle’s port, we worked helped develop a feasibility study and provided development advice for the Crowne Plaza. The feasibility included a market assessment and gap analysis for the business and leisure market, concepts for alternative room types and conference facilities, and total number of rooms and subsequent footprint versus height. The iconic Honeysuckle waterfront is a feature of the working port of Newcastle, New South Wales.
In the end our recommendations were adopted: 175 harbourside and cityside suites, spacious meeting rooms, a pillar-less grand ballroom, fitness centre, business centre and 25-metre outdoor swimming pool.
